• The HB-14418 hand brake from Baileigh Industrial is a great tool for those HVAC shops that need the extra length for making custom duct work. The HB-14418 has an overall bending length of 12’ and can bend 18 gauge mild steel sheet metal at the full length. Having 12’ of bending length makes quicker work of those long runs that may come up.
• The HB-14418 is made to the same specifications of all Baileigh Industrial hand brakes. This includes fully welded steel plate construction for rigidity and top quality cast components for the clamping and bending components. The fully welded frame on the HB-14418 hand brake allows for the big capacity without twisting or misalignment that plagues many of the other sheet metal brakes on the market. Using cast components that are machined for tight tolerances helps keep the cost down as well.
• The bending leaf has a single blade that does the bending. This blade is machines precisely to keep the bending radius as tight as possible. A heavy duty stand and two large counter bending weights to help the operator bend at full capacity are also part of the HB-14418. For production Baileigh Industrial also includes a material stop rod to ensure repeatability between each bend.
