Return Policy
Return terms made clear before ordering.
D.E.C. accepts authorized returns of new defective and non-defective products within 30 days. Exchanges are not accepted.
Request a return within 30 calendar days.
Machinery returns require advance coordination because products may be heavy, freight-shipped, manufacturer-supplied or configured for a particular application.
D.E.C. accepts authorized returns of defective and non-defective new products requested within 30 calendar days after confirmed delivery. Submitting a request does not automatically authorize the return. D.E.C. must review the request and issue written return authorization before any product is shipped back.
Standard returns must remain resalable.
To qualify for a standard return, the product must generally be:
- New and unused
- Uninstalled
- Unmodified
- In resalable condition
- Complete with all accessories, tooling and documentation
- In its original packaging or shipping crate
- Free from damage caused after delivery
- Returned using the free prepaid label included in the package
Products generally not returnable
Unless defective, damaged in transit, shipped incorrectly or otherwise required by law, the following are generally not returnable:
- Custom-made or custom-modified machinery
- Special-order products
- Products configured to customer specifications
- Installed, wired or operated equipment
- Used or damaged products
- Clearance, closeout or final-sale merchandise
- Consumables and wear items
- Opened electrical or electronic components
- Software, licenses or activated digital products
- Replacement parts that have been installed
- Products missing accessories, documentation or original packaging
- Products returned after the applicable return period
D.E.C. will identify known special-order or non-returnable conditions before accepting the order whenever practical.
Eligible authorized returns have no restocking fee and no standard return-shipping charge.
Authorized returns are sent back by carrier using the free prepaid return label included in the original package. D.E.C. pays the standard approved return-shipping cost for products that meet the 30-calendar-day window, new-product condition and written return-authorization instructions.
- No restocking fee is charged.
- A free prepaid return label is included in the package.
- D.E.C. pays the standard approved return-shipping charge.
- Returns are sent by the authorized carrier shown on the label.
- The customer must keep the product complete, new, unused, uninstalled and properly protected in the original crate or equivalent packaging.
- The customer must make the equipment available for the approved pickup and follow the written loading instructions.
Prepare the machine before the carrier arrives.
- Secure the product in its original crate or equivalent protective packaging.
- Include all parts, accessories, tooling and documentation.
- Protect exposed surfaces and controls.
- Photograph the packaged product.
- Keep copies of all freight documents.
- Make appropriate loading equipment available.
- Follow the authorization instructions exactly.
Returned products are inspected after arrival.
The inspection may evaluate:
- Product condition
- Evidence of use or installation
- Shipping damage
- Missing parts or accessories
- Packaging condition
- Serial-number verification
- Compliance with the return authorization
- Costs required to restore the product to resalable condition
Deductions may be made for missing components, damage, cleaning, repackaging, repair, unauthorized freight or loss in value caused by handling or use. D.E.C. will provide notice if the inspected condition materially affects the approved refund.
Refund timing
After an approved return is received and inspected, D.E.C. will issue the applicable refund within five days. Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method.
Financial institutions and payment processors may require additional time before the credit appears.
Possible deductions
No restocking fee or standard approved return-shipping charge is deducted. Only documented costs caused by an unauthorized return, missed pickup, storage, missing parts, customer-caused damage, repair or failure to follow the written authorization may affect the refund.
Freight damage is handled separately from a standard return.
When receiving a shipment
- Inspect packaging and equipment before signing.
- Record visible damage on the delivery receipt.
- Photograph the shipment from multiple angles.
- Retain the crate, pallet and packaging.
- Contact D.E.C. promptly.
- Do not discard damaged components or shipping materials.
Signing a delivery receipt without documenting visible damage may limit the available carrier claim. Do not return a freight-damaged machine without written instructions from D.E.C.
Concealed damage
Stop installation or use when continued handling could increase damage. Keep packaging, photograph the product and damaged area, and contact D.E.C. promptly with the order number and delivery documentation.
Concealed-damage claims may be subject to carrier reporting deadlines and investigation.
Defective products
A suspected manufacturing defect does not automatically require a return. Resolution may include troubleshooting, replacement parts, manufacturer service, field repair, product replacement or an authorized return.
Do not arrange repairs, replace components or return the product without authorization if you expect reimbursement.
Manufacturer warranties
Many products are covered by a manufacturer warranty. Warranty coverage is separate from this return policy and may be subject to the manufacturer’s terms, exclusions and claim procedures. D.E.C. may assist with warranty communication, but final warranty decisions may be made by the manufacturer.
Incorrect products or missing items
Contact D.E.C. promptly and provide the order number, product and SKU received, packing documents, a description of the discrepancy, and photographs of the shipment and labels. Keep all packaging until D.E.C. provides instructions.
A cancellation is effective only after written confirmation.
Contact D.E.C. immediately to request an order cancellation. Orders already released, prepared or shipped may be subject to:
- Manufacturer cancellation charges
- Storage or rerouting charges
- Non-refundable special-order costs
Refused deliveries
Do not refuse delivery unless D.E.C. or the carrier instructs you to do so. An undamaged shipment refused without authorization may be treated as an unauthorized return. Documented storage, redelivery or customer-caused damage costs may affect the approved refund; no restocking fee is charged.
Exchanges
Exchanges are not accepted. A customer who needs a different product must complete an authorized return and place a new order.
Request a return, cancellation or damage review.
Include the order number and product SKU in the subject line, plus photographs and delivery documents when applicable.
